New Hospitals to Saint Thomas Health in 2015

Saint Thomas Dekalb Hospital  Saint Thomas DeKalb Hospital , established in 1969, is a 71 bed
hospital located in Smithville, Tennessee. It provides emergency
room services and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care,
including radiology, oncology and cardiopulmonary services. 
Saint Thomas Stones River Hospital Saint Thomas Stones River Hospital is a 60 bed hospital located in
Woodbury, Tennessee. It provides emergency room services and
comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, including
medical/surgical care and geriatric mental health care.
Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital, established in 1929, is a 60 bed
hospital located in Sparta, Tennessee. It provides emergency room
services and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, including,
medical/surgical care, general surgery, orthopedics and geriatric
psychiatric care.
Saint Thomas River Park Hospital Saint Thomas River Park Hospital, established in 1970, is a 125
bed hospital located in McMinnville, Tennessee. It provides emergency
room services and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care,
including same day surgery, labor and delivery, and sports medicine.

Saint Thomas Health is pleased to announce the addition of the four Middle Tennessee hospitals to the Saint Thomas Health system. On August 1, 2015, Saint Thomas Health purchased River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Highlands Medical Center in Sparta, DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville and Stones River Hospital in Woodbury. The hospitals were previously held as a joint venture with Capella since 2012. 

Saint Thomas Health is pleased to welcome the associates and physicians of the hospitals to Saint Thomas Health. These hospitalsoperate as faith-based facilities and Gordon Ferguson is the executive leader for their operations and performance in his expanded role as Saint Thomas Health President for Non-urban Operations.

As part of Ascension, Saint Thomas Health is committed to creating clinically integrated systems of care to better meet evolving community needs with special  attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. Saint Thomas Health is building a system of care to touch a million lives in Middle Tennessee, providing convenient local access to a full range of services.
